Welcome to First Christian

We are a small group of CSRA Disciples of Christ serving Christ in downtown Augusta and have met continuously since 1875 at the corner of Seventh and Greene Streets where philanthropist and Christian Church early organizer Emily H. Tubman built her home church along with six other Christian churches in Georgia.  Our mission is to welcome others to a warm and worshipful place and to extend the fellowship of God to all those we meet in the community.  Our hearts are open to all who love Christ or seek to know Him better.  The Lord's Table is open every Sunday to all who will come to celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. 

At First Christian you will find a traditional Sunday School and Sunday morning worship service. On Thursday evenings, a small-group Bible study is held with an emphasis on themes of the Old and New Testament.  Throughout the year, many church-wide events draw our members, friends, and families together!
